The ceramic fibers are composed of :
- ceramic fibres (between 2 and 4 microns) with a maximum length of 50 mm
- support fibers composed of viscose or polyester and a frame either of glass (silionne) or nickel chrome
Principal characteristics :
- High temperature resistance (static use)
Excellent potential for thermal and electrical isolation (glass frame)
- Very good resistance to chemical agents
(except fluorohydric acid, phosphoric and concentrated bases)
- Total absence of chlorine
- Good resistance to molten aluminum and zinc.
